Greater Macedonia Church of God by Faith is a Christ-centered ministry located in Clermont, Florida, dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus and strengthening the community through worship, teaching, and service. With a rich history and a heart for people, our church offers Spirit-filled services, biblical preaching, and ministries for all ages. Pastor James & First Lady Sandra Rodgers
Pastor James Rodgers
James L. Rodgers was born on May 8, 1957. He is the beloved husband of Sandra Gainer Rodgers, and together they have built a loving extended family.
He is the proud father of Laketta Rodgers, James Rodgers Jr., Shayla Rodgers, Kimberly Rodgers-Graham, Floyd Magwood Jr., TreVena L. Jackson, and Brian Magwood. Lovingly remembers his son, Joel A. Magwood, who is deceased.
James is the son of the late James Rodgers and Everlena Rodgers. He was raised in Groveland, Florida, alongside his siblings: Willie, Bertha, Catherine, Lorenzo, Angela, Tammy, Gwendolyn, and Glenn. He also lovingly remembers his sister, Hattie, who is deceased.
James faithfully serves at Greater Macedonia Church of God by Faith, where he is committed to advancing the work of the Kingdom.
He believes that one of the greatest needs of the church today is for God's people to become more loyal and devoted to the things of God.
His vision for the church is to see every auxiliary working together to fulfill its God-given ministry, serving both the church and the community for the glory of God.
His favorite passage of Scripture is Psalm 23, which has been a source of strength and encouragement throughout his life.
James believes God is calling him to become more knowledgeable about the challenges facing this generation so that he can effectively teach and minister to them with wisdom, understanding, and biblical truth.
His prayer for the church and the community is that God will bless His people, unite them as a community of believers, and empower them to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.
First Lady Sandra Rodgers
Sandra J. Rodgers was born on January 15, 1958. She is the devoted wife of James L. Rodgers, and together they have built a loving extended family
She is the loving mother of Floyd L. Magwood, Jr. and Trevena L. Jackson, Brian Magwood, Laketta Rodgers, James Jr. Rodgers, Shayla Rodgers, and Kimberly Rodgers-Graham. Lovingly remembers her son, Joel A. Magwood, who is deceased.
Sandra is the daughter of the late Allen and Mae Helen Gainer. She was raised in Boynton Beach, Florida (Palm Beach County) alongside her siblings: Joseph A. Gainer, Dorothy J. Gainer, Annie Joyce Potts, and Mary Ann Richardson.
She is a retired employee of Marion County Public Schools, having faithfully served in education before retiring.
Sandra believes one of the greatest needs of the church today is to become more Kingdom-minded and more committed to the cause of Christ.
Her vision for the church is to see greater outreach into the community, sharing God's love and bringing others into the Kingdom.
Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 34:1:
"I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Sandra believes God is calling her to become a more vocal messenger for the Body of Christ, boldly sharing the Gospel and encouraging others in their walk with the Lord.
Her prayer for the churches in the community is that God will unite them to work together in reaching lost souls for Jesus Christ and advancing His Kingdom.
